Scan World System JAPAN is the distributor, not the manufacturer for Diagnostic Tools. The Hardware iDS (Intelligent Diagnostic System), KPS (Key Programming System) and the Software applications Scan-Snow, Scan-Sea, Scan-Land and Scan-Marine can be purchased individually or combined to create a Diagnostic System. We sell to repair shops, rental business and individuals. Scan World System JAPAN reserves the right to refuse selling or service to anyone.

SHIPPING AND HANDLING
After we receive the payment we will ship the item within a week. Shipping and handling costs may apply. All orders will be shipped by either EMS or FedEX (unless otherwise instructed) please ask for shipping rates. Each shipment will be insured.
Damaged shipments:(1)Indicate DAMAGED when you sign for the material. (2)KEEP the shipping carton.(3)HOLD the goods. (4)NOTIFY EMS / FedEx & Scan World System JAPAN immediately
Original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Returns must be preauthorized by Scan World System JAPAN.
WARRANTY
Customer understands that Scan World System JAPAN is not the manufacturer of the products purchased by Customer hereunder and the only warranties offered are those of the manufacturer, not Scan World System JAPAN. All warranty claims are processed through the product manufacturers and subject to their policies and discretion. If Scan World System JAPAN accepts the warranty shipment, Scan World System JAPAN will submit your product to the manufacturer for an evaluation. The product manufacturer will determine whether the product qualifies for warranty. The customer is responsible for complete shipping charges.
All products are sold AS IS. In purchasing the products, Customer is relying on the manufacturer's specifications only and is not relying on any statements, specifications in brochures or other illustrations representing the product that may be provided by Scan World System JAPAN.
Scan World System JAPAN hereby expressly disclaim all warranties either expressed or implied, related to products sold by third parties or affiliates of Scan World System JAPAN, including without limitation, any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or no infringement. This disclaimer does not affect the terms of the manufacturer's warranty, if any.
It is at the discretion of Scan World System JAPAN to accept a return of the merchandise within 15 days of delivery for a refund. No returns accepted after 15 days of delivery. Upon authorization of a return by Scan World System JAPAN 20%
re-stocking fee applies. This fee may increase depending on product condition - e.g. if not in "as new" condition. Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. A return must be pre-authorized by Scan World System JAPAN.
SUPPORT
Scan World System JAPAN is providing support about product handling to registered customers. Detailed technical support, especially in case of software updates or hardware check outs, will be provided directly from the manufacturer. Scan World System requires support requests by e-mail in order to receive the most detailed information possible.
Before requesting support please make sure you¡Çre aware of the following:
1. Vessel/vehicle to diagnose
Scan World System software contains applications for several different brands and manufacturers. Each manufacturer has its own way to communicate with the internal ecm/ecu. The communication may also be interrupted due to difficulties caused by the vessel/vehicle. Tests have revealed communication problems between the vessel/vehicle and the manufacturer¡Çs own OEM diagnostic software.
2. Computer
Each computer is different. In general, Scan World System does not require a special computer system. The only requirement is that the operation system has to be Microsoft Windows. However, the connection to the vessel/vehicle can be very time sensitive. A computer with too many open applications, processes running in the background (not even known by the computer owner), or viruses can cause trouble leading to no connection at all, or interruption in showing live data.
3. Changes made by the vessel/vehicle manufacturer
In some cases the manufacturers have made internal changes since Scan World System developed the software or Scan World System was not aware of certain specs. In a situation like this, the Scan World System engineers will make the adjustments as quickly as possible. For these occurrences, our customers get the unlimited FREE software updates.
4. Tool handling
It is very important for the engineers to know how the customer is using the diagnostic tool. With the tool purchase the customer agrees to provide all information in writing (e-mail and/or request forms) Scan World System JAPAN and/or its affiliates are asking for. The customer is aware that software updates sometimes become necessary (as stated in paragraph #3.). Scan World System will provide these updates as quick as possible. Under no circumstances can a missing update account for return of the merchandise. To avoid wasting valuable time on customer's and manufacturer's/distributor's side by not communicating all the necessary details and important information, please always use our support request forms . Or, you may submit a detailed message by e-mail answering the questions according to the support request form. Scan World System appreciates your cooperation!
UPDATES
Software updates are available at no charge to the registered purchaser. Customer understands that Scan World System JAPAN is not the manufacturer of the products purchased by Customer hereunder and the only updates offered are those of the manufacturer, not Scan World System JAPAN.
The purchaser receives his personal license# and password after registration.
The software update can be downloaded from our web-server here.
Notifications will be sent via email to registered buyers if an update requires additional hardware to make the new application function, this hardware may be sold separately. Updates not only include new applications, but also general changes in software handling and software improvements, which means all software updates must be installed to maintain system integrity and functionality. Wherever applicable, customers will receive and must install the free software update no matter if additional hardware is, or is not, purchased. Late or overdue payments will exclude those from any software updates and/or support service until the account is settled.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In no event will Scan World System JAPAN or its affiliates, or their respective officers, Directors, Employees, Shareholders, Agents, Successors, or Assigns be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages that result from products purchased by Customer. This limitation applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if Scan World System JAPAN has been advised of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, Scan World System JAPAN liability in such jurisdiction shall be limited to the extent permitted by law. Neither Scan World System JAPAN nor its affiliates will be liable for products not being available for use. Customer agrees that for any liability related to the purchase of products, neither Scan World System JAPAN its affiliates are liable or responsible for any amount of damages above the dollar amount paid by the Customer for the product(s) giving rise to the claim.
Scan World System JAPAN will not be responsible for any delays in delivery which result from any circumstances beyond its control, including without intention, product unavailability, carrier delays, delays due to fire, severe weather conditions, failure of power, labor problems, act of war, terrorism, general insurrection, acts of god or acts of any government agency.
